Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 August 2026

Astrosync (“we”, “us”, the “app”) is an astrology and tarot app. We built it to be private by default: there are no user accounts, and we never store your birth details on our own servers. Section 2 explains the one place they are sent onward — the calculation service that turns them into a chart. This policy explains exactly what data is involved, where it goes, and your choices.

1. Information you provide

To calculate your birth chart, the app asks for your name (optional) and your date, time and place of birth. This information is saved only on your device (in your device’s app storage). We do not run user accounts, and this data is never uploaded to a server owned by us. To produce a chart from it, the app sends your date, time and place of birth — never your name — to the calculation service described in section 2.

2. Birth-chart calculations (third-party API)

To turn your birth details into a chart, daily panchang and related readings, the app sends your date, time and place of birth (not your name) to the VedAstro open calculation API over a secure connection. VedAstro returns the astrological data the app displays. Please review VedAstro’s own terms for how they handle requests.

3. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The app is free and supported by ads served through Google AdMob. To show ads, Google and its partners may collect and use certain information, such as your device’s advertising identifier, app interactions, and approximate, non-precise location, to deliver and measure ads.

How Google uses data: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

4. Anonymous usage statistics

So we can tell which parts of the app are useful and which are broken, the app sends a small set of anonymous counts — for example, that a reading was opened, or that a screen was viewed. These collapse into daily totals on our server. We do not create an account or a profile for you, and nothing in these counts identifies you as a person.

5. What we do not do

6. Your choices & control

7. Data security & retention

Birth details remain on your device until you remove them. Network requests use HTTPS. Because your birth details are never stored on our servers, there is no central copy of them for us to retain or expose. The anonymous daily counts described in section 4 are kept for up to twelve months, and the random install identifiers used to de-duplicate them are discarded after sixty days.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
